Ibinabo's Bio

Ibinabo is a talented scientist who has always found time around his work as a technician to pursue his passion for mentoring and tutoring. He holds a BS in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County; he will graduate with an MS in physician assisted studies from Towson University in fall 2024. He has utilized his university training to work as a radiology technician at an ambulance surgery center, but he has also worked continuously since 2015 as a tutor and mentor. Indeed, Ibinabo has years’ experience working with the Off the Street Club (a boys and girls club), where he mentors youth ranging in grades first to twelfth. In addition, he has thousands of hours of experience doing SAT and ACT test-prep tutoring as well as subject-area tutoring in chemistry, math, biology, and physics at StudyPoint.
Ibinabo describes himself as “a veteran tutor who still retains the joy and wonder of education.” He uses his excitement for tutoring to personalize all instruction for each student. He believes that the best way to do this is to build a sense of trust and empathy with each student. “My philosophy for education,” he says, “is to establish a connection with each student and then use analogies based on our shared commonalities to simplify complex concepts.” This process has worked well for Ibinabo, as he has received many accolades for his tutoring and myriad families have referred him to others.
Ibinabo also finds joy in a number of varied pursuits. First, he has a great love of eggs—scrambled, boiled, over-easy, whatever. He jokes, “If I could get sick from eating eggs, I would have died years ago.” He also enjoys watching and commenting on a range of sports, having been, in his youth, a track and soccer enthusiast. Finally, he admits to spending way too much time on “the artist formerly known as Twitter,” but when he can pull himself away from that app, he also enjoys taking his dogs on leisurely walks.
