PrepNow Program Pricing

Our goal at PrepNow is to make high quality private tutoring more affordable. Our innovative curriculum and online tutoring technologies enable your child to work with an experienced private tutor from the convenience of your home computer — at rates that are well below the industry average for private in-home tutoring or one-on-one sessions at a learning center.

SAT and ACT Tutoring

The PrepNow SAT and ACT Programs are the most personalized, convenient, and effective prep options available. We pair each student with a personal tutor to master the ins and outs of these difficult tests. Students complete a 30-hour program, focused entirely on either the SAT or ACT. All courses include one-to-one, live online tutoring with an experienced tutor, PrepNow workbooks, four real practice exams, and access to PrepNow's innovative web Homework and Practice Test diagnostic technologies.

Our prices vary based on the experience level and credentials of our instructors. The prices listed below indicate the starting hourly rate for each program.

For those students looking for concentrated help in any one section of the SAT, Prep Now offers a Single Subject SAT Program. For students looking for concentrated help in any two subjects of the ACT, Prep Now offers a Dual Subject ACT Program. These 10-hour courses include all the same program components as our full-length SAT and ACT programs but focus solely on either the Critical Reading, Math, or Writing sections of the SAT or on any two of the English, Math, Reading, and Science sections of the ACT.

PSAT Tutoring

For sophomores and juniors taking the PSAT, this course includes 12 hours of individualized instruction. Each of the eight, 90-minute lessons prepares students for the Math, Verbal, and Writing sections. All PSAT students will take two PSAT practice tests and will have access to PrepNow's Customized PSAT Homework Program and diagnostic technologies. Juniors should enroll in PSAT tutoring in conjunction with a winter or spring SAT or ACT tutoring program.

Academic Subject Tutoring

This unique program offers students individualized tutoring in a specific academic subject. Tutoring is available for students in grades K-12 for most Math, Science, Foreign Language, and Humanities courses. Students may purchase blocks of 12, 24, or 36 hours and work with their tutor once, twice, or three times per week. Lesson time is spent on the student's own course work and preparation for tests, homework, and projects.

Forms of Payment, Payment Timing, and Refunds

We accept two primary forms of payment for our programs. First, you may pay for your program via e-check, which will route payment for your program directly from a specified bank account. Second, you may also choose to pay for your program by credit card; we accept Visa and MasterCard. (If you will be paying for tutoring via an Education Trust you may do so by check.)

We must receive payment prior to the start of your child's tutoring program. If we have not received payment the program will be placed on hold until your payment has cleared. You will be billed a one-time, non-refundable $150 Registration Fee at the time of enrollment with PrepNow.

SAT, ACT & PSAT Program Refund Policy
Should you need to cancel enrollment in a test preparation program, refunds are issued by check within fourteen business days of your request. Your program manager will determine the exact amount of the refund according to the following schedule:

• You may request to cancel the program if only four or fewer lessons have occurred or less than 30 days have passed since your child's first lesson date, whichever comes first. We will prorate the unused portion of your program and issue a refund.
• No refunds are issued if requested after the 5th lesson or 30 or more days from your child's first lesson date.

Academic Subject Tutoring Program Refund Policy
If your child is unable to complete all of the hours in his or her academic block, we will prorate the unused portion of your block and issue a refund. Refunds are issued by check within fourteen business days of your request. Your program manager will determine the exact amount of the refund within five business days of your request.
