PrepNow Tutor - Anthony R.

Anthony has several years of experience working with students at the high school and college levels. His love of the arts instills each lesson with a spark of passion, making the learning process more fun and effective.
He earned a BFA in acting from Texas Christian University, where he served as a teaching assistant for several classes in his department. His experiences teaching playwriting at a local high school as part of the Dallas Playwriting Arts Collective cemented his passion for tutoring and coaching students of various backgrounds and abilities. As of 2025, he’s completing his teacher certification while tutoring as well as developing new dramatic plays as a playwright.
Anthony’s approach encourages students to honor their unique processes. “I recognize that learning is inherently frustrating,” he shares. As such, he adapts each session to suit his students’ needs in the moment. “I teach my students to explore their own process of learning, as it’s different from everyone else’s; through this recognition and practice, my students begin to learn with enthusiasm and thrive when instructed to evaluate their learning,” he adds. Ultimately, he aims to foster trust and confidence in themselves as scholars and as people.
His devotion to academia and his craft earned him a spot on the dean’s list, along with the title of Campus Scholar and the Forrest Leadership Award from the Department of Theatre at TCU.
When he’s not tutoring or putting pen to paper, he enjoys jamming out at concerts, exploring hiking trails, and working out.
