PrepNow Tutor - Olivia M.

A dynamic tutor, Olivia holds a BA in public relations journalism from the University of North Texas and an MS in digital analytics from the University of North Texas. For four years, Olivia worked in digital marketing. She now teaches digital analytics as an adjunct professor.
Olivia has tutored geometry, algebra, statistics, analytics, chemistry, English, journalism, reading, writing, and test prep. “I started tutoring when I became an adjunct professor and I absolutely fell in love with it,” Olivia says. “I enjoy helping students learn! Explaining concepts in multiple ways to cater to different learning styles is one of the most fun parts of my job.” Olivia loves tutoring test prep in particular because she knows how daunting big standardized tests can be. “It's my mission to provide students with tools and techniques to handle each question like a pro,” Olivia says.
Olivia’s teaching style is immersive and dynamic. “I want the student to not only understand the material but learn how it is applicable,” Olivia says. Olivia notes that every student has different learning styles and ways of thinking. “Educating students in a way that makes sense for their brain is imperative for learning,” she says. “If one method doesn't make sense or click, I shift to a new method or technique.”
In college, Olivia was on the dean’s list and enjoyed hiking, kayaking, photography, and soccer. Today, she’s still passionate about hiking, kayaking, and photography, along with climbing and visiting dog parks. Creative and left-handed, Olivia says, “I’m a talkative person and enjoy conversing with others!”
