PrepNow Tutor - Medha M.

An altruistic tutor who finds fulfillment in serving others, Medha holds a BS in neuroscience from Nova Southeastern University and is an incoming osteopathic medical student. While in college, they were on the dean's list and inducted into Nu Rho Psi. Currently, Medha spends their days leading engaging science experiments for children at schools and birthday parties as an enrichment instructor.
Medha started teaching in 2019 as a learning center math instructor, a role that allowed them to give back to a community that had supported their own learning throughout childhood. “Some of my proudest moments as a tutor come from patiently working with neurodivergent youth, taking the time to understand their unique needs, and delivering knowledge in a personalized and effective manner. It has been deeply fulfilling to adapt my teaching approach to ensure each student can thrive in their own way.” Over the years, Medha has taught math, SAT prep, and elementary through middle school science.
“My teaching style focuses on fostering a positive mindset, encouraging problem-solving, and promoting open communication to provide emotional support, reduce academic-related stress, and build trust,” Medha says. “By respecting my students’ ideas and celebrating their achievements, I’ve developed a personalized approach that meets them where they are in their learning journey. Witnessing my students’ growth—both academically and personally—has been a rewarding experience, reaffirming my belief that an inclusive, supportive environment creates limitless opportunities for development for both my students and myself.”
As a student, Medha played soccer and Ultimate Frisbee and participated in student council, tutoring, Science Alive, volunteering, and behavioral neuroscience research. Outside of work, they enjoy practicing yoga and meditation, indoor bouldering, creating jewelry, and spending time in nature with their dog, family, and friends. “I thrive in environments enriched by music, nature, and genuine human connection, which bring out my most authentic self,” Medha says. “Above all, I hold profound gratitude for the individuals, communities, and experiences that push me to challenge my perspective and grow through transformative learning.”
