PrepNow Tutor - Erin S.
An open-minded individual who enjoys working with teams to accomplish goals, Erin is a natural-born teacher who ignites self-confidence. Erin received her bachelor’s in business administration at Texas A&M. She also earned minors in communication, psychology, and international marketing. Erin first started tutoring as a student herself and immediately loved the experience.
As a tutor and teacher, Erin has taught everything from kindergarten and high school core subjects to modeling and acting. While Erin is most drawn to the arts, she spends a fair amount of time teaching mathematics. She has extensive experience in Algebra I and II, geometry, pre-calculus, and business math. Recently she has started tutoring physics and college prep courses. Outside of her day job, Erin works as a talent instructor for a local agency.
While Erin has worked with countless students, she says her proudest moment was “teaching my daughter mathematics and the importance of numbers at an early age.” As an educator, Erin focuses on an explorative approach. She equips her students with resources and then encourages them to navigate on their own while she reassures and guides them as needed. When explaining concepts, she connects individual pieces to real-world experiences so students can better connect with the ideas and learn terminology.
When Erin was in high school, she played basketball, ran track, and engaged in various leadership organizations. These days, she is far more focused on being a proud parent to her two wonderful children. She also loves all things related to art and music. She adores animals and has a bird, two dogs, and two cats!
