Yuba is a patient and passionate math and science teacher. Having worked with over 500 students, Yuba understands everyone learns differently and at their own pace. His job is to help facilitate that in a way that leaves students feeling capable and confident in the face of challenges.
He holds a BS in physics from Tribhuvan University in Nepal as well as an MS/PhD in physics from Florida International University. Since graduating, he has performed professional research in structural biology and bioinformatics. On top of managing students in the classroom and via one-on-one tutoring, he’s still contributing research to the field!
His tutoring philosophy is based on years of exploring the art of teaching and learning. Understanding the psychology of motivation, he makes a point to use tangible, relevant examples so his students develop the drive to learn on a deeper level. “I am able to explain complex ideas in a very simple way with real-life examples. Students really like the way I teach,” he shares. His patience and optimism create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
In his free time, Yuba loves going on walks and reading. He’s also a fan of soccer and running.
