PrepNow Tutor - Elodie E.
Raised in Paris, Elodie earned her bachelor's in chemistry from the University of Houston. During college she served as a teaching assistant for general chemistry and organic chemistry. She also worked as a private tutor, instructing students in French (her native language), physics, chemistry, organic chemistry, and calculus. Prior to joining the PrepNow team, Elodie worked for StudyPoint, PrepNow's sister company, tutoring students in SAT and ACT prep and math.
Recognizing that each learner will have a different set of needs, Elodie takes a flexible, adaptive approach to tutoring. "I'll often give the student an example problem and let them work through it out loud," she says. "This helps me understand how the student thinks." In a typical session, Elodie will explain concepts, ask questions, work with the student through problem sets, and finish up with a short quiz.
In high school, Elodie practiced ballet, ran track, and studied martial arts. Today she enjoys swimming, reading, and traveling. She is also a volunteer Sunday school teacher for grades three and four.
