PrepNow Tutor - Breanna B.
A passionate educator and public health professional who enjoys helping students build confidence and reach their goals, Breanna has a strong background in science, health, and research. She holds a BS in kinesiology from Michigan State University and an MPH in health policy and management from Emory University. Since earning her bachelor’s degree, she has worked in both public health and education-focused roles. Her experience includes working with the CDC Foundation, the Fulton County Board of Health, and Aon, as well as providing behavioral therapy services for children with autism as a Registered Behavior Technician. In addition to tutoring, Breanna currently works with individuals with serious mental illnesses as a Case Management Coordinator at Easterseals MORC.
Breanna started tutoring because she’s always enjoyed helping others. “Through my work as a Registered Behavior Technician and my experiences tutoring peers and family, I discovered how rewarding it is to watch someone gain confidence as they learn,” she reflects. “I love being part of that ‘aha!’ moment when someone realizes they are capable of succeeding.” From 2020 to 2025, Breanna worked as a Registered Behavior Technician, providing individualized instruction to children from ages two to ten in communication, social skills, behavior management, and early academic concepts. She has also tutored students privately in math, including algebra and calculus.
“I would describe my teaching style as patient, encouraging, and student-centered,” Breanna says. “I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to match each student's strengths, challenges, and learning preferences.” Breanna remembers how much pressure came with preparing for important exams, so she understands what many test prep students are feeling. “I want to be the kind of tutor who not only teaches the material but also helps students feel encouraged, supported, and confident throughout the process,” she explains. “It's exciting to know that a few months of hard work together can have a lasting impact on a student's future.”
Breanna believes that every student can succeed with the right encouragement. “I strive to create a positive, engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions because there is no such thing as a dumb question.” Working one-on-one with students has taught Breanna how to adapt lessons to different learning styles and to celebrate every achievement, no matter how small. “My proudest moments are seeing students gain confidence when they master something they once believed was impossible, because confidence often leads to continued success,” Breanna says.
As a student, Breanna played tennis. She enjoys gardening, spending time with her family, and going for walks.
