"I like helping students find the schools that help them become the best version of themselves in all aspects—academically, socially, and professionally,” says admissions counselor Anthony Berryhill.
Anthony is a college admissions strategist and academic coach with more than twenty years of experience placing students at the nation’s most selective undergraduate, graduate, and professional institutions. His clients have earned admission to universities including MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Yale, Chicago Booth, INSEAD, and Stanford Medicine, among many others.
Anthony holds a fellowship from the Harvard Kennedy School, received the Boothe Prize from Stanford University, and engaged in doctoral work in Yale’s Political Science Department. He currently serves on the Instructional Staff at Harvard University, where he was a guest lecturer for Harvard’s Public Speaking Workshop. In addition to his academic background, Anthony holds professional certifications in Project Management (PMP), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and Data Analytics, bringing a structured, strategic approach to the admissions process.
Anthony’s admissions coaching methodology is rooted in championship-level debate strategy and elite institutional research. A nationally recognized debate coach, he is a three-time National Debate Champion Coach with wins from the College Public Forum Championship, NCFL Grand National Tournament, and the Tournament of Champions. His debate-informed coaching framework has been successfully applied across undergraduate, MBA, JD, MD, and PhD admissions.
Until June 2022, Anthony served as Vice President of Learning and Program Management for a bond investment company, where he led the firm’s global learning and development function with a focus on Millennial and Gen Z talent. He was recruited for the role based on his leadership in designing business cases for inclusion initiatives, learning strategy, and organizational development. His work has earned numerous global honors, including membership in both the Royal Society of the Arts and the Royal Geographic Society.
The first college graduate in his family, Anthony earned his BA in Political Science from Stanford University. Reflecting on his own admissions experience, he explains: “I didn’t know how to write my application. I read whatever I could find online and applied my debate skills to writing the essays, preparing for interviews, and managing the process. Since then, I’ve been motivated to help others navigate admissions more confidently and strategically.
